Q: HOW EFFECTIVE ARE ALARMS… REALLY?
A: Alarms have the potential to be very effective in keeping your family and home safe. When installed and commissioned correctly. Alarms must serve a function within the building and custom design is the key to achieving the desired result. For example, a 2 or 3 sensor internal alarm will rarely be enough to catch intruders effectively. These sensors generally would not cover enough area and by the time they do detect, it’s too late. We don’t offer “alarm in a box” solutions so you will always get the right product for your home or business.
Q: I DON’T NEED MONITORING, DO I?
A: Plain and simple, YES! There is a bad name out there for monitored systems, but this is mostly due to bad operators who sell bulk monitoring at low cost with poor service. When your security system is triggered, our monitoring company will make decisions based on the events triggered and the rules you have defined for them to follow. They will call anyone or everyone on your contact list if required. They will inform security services if you have this defined and they will contact Police in the situation you have multiple triggers or upon your request. They will also handle contacting Fire and Ambulance services if you trigger them from your panel interface. The services are very reliable and can save lives.
Q: WILL MY ALARM BE NBN READY?
A: Yes. We use specialized wireless data connections and IP data connections to maintain a reliable monitoring link. No telephone line required.
Q: WHY WOULD I NEED CCTV?
A: It sounds like something from the movies, we know! But CCTV has proven time and time again to provide real results when combined with an alarm system or when installed on it’s own. Video can be run to nearly any TV in your home for instant access while at home. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world via an internet connection and your smart phone. And it can be integral in forwarding details of intruders to police instantly so they may recognize them straight after an offence.
Q: DOESN’T CCTV HAVE A LOW IMAGE QUALITY?
A: Not any more. New technologies now allow us to affordably install Full High Definition cameras and recorders to your home or business. The additional resolution now allows Police to recognize individuals by their face, pick up logos on clothing and even read licence plates at distance. Low light quality has improved substantially with image pickup at 0 lux. Meaning no light at all. We can even place additional IR lights that only your cameras can see to really light up a scene.
